Lomas Brown Jr. L.E.A.P. Camp
Cherryl R. Thames Organization Development and Strategic Planning Consultant

The IT Figures – Empowerment workshop provided in 2022 during the Lomas Brown, Jr. L.E.A.P. (learn, earn, and play) Camp was presented on the same powerful foundation with hand-on activities for middle school students. This on-site program truly focused on empowering youth to find their inner-strength, pursue their dreams, and become heroes in their own story. Thank you, Tiffany and Cedric Porties. May you continue to be blessed and a blessing.

Hope United Church
Cherryl R. Thames, Organization Development and Strategic Planning Consultant

It is an honor to offer a recommendation for IT Figures, LLC, and its workshops: Empowering youth to persevere through adversity®. Thank you for the virtual “Empowerment” workshops that you provided during Hope United Methodist Church’s Vacation Bible School in 2021 for middle school students and high school students. These customized Faith Based programs during the Covid-19 pandemic provided an ideal opportunity for students to see beyond the actual action figure dolls and identify the superpowers and/or strengths that our real-life heroes as well as the Superheroes have in all areas of STEAM. Bringing it all together in the SMART Infrastructure activity was especially rewarding as the students designed what could be the evolution of our infrastructure all designed with a mindset of altruism.

The B.L.O.C.K. Youth & Teen Center
Chelsea Straub, Recreation Specialist, Canton Leisure Services

IT Figures did an absolutely phenomenal job for Canton Township in their work with the BLOCK Youth and Teen Center's Be a #ModelMan program. Not only did their mission of perseverance through adversity align with our program objectives, but the personalities of Cedric and Tiffany brought the workshop to life. The setup was incredible and the delivery of content was flawless. Without hesitation, I would work with IT Figures again and recommend to anyone thinking about partnering. One of the best decisions I have made for our program!

Lansing School District
Kyron Harvell, Project Director, School Culture and Transformation Grant

It gives me immense pleasure to offer my highest recommendation for the IT Figures Program. The emphasis on core concepts such as character development, self- esteem, and establishing goals is so critical during this time as many of our children are dealing with issues of isolation and anxiety as a result of the pandemic. I would strongly encourage other school districts to take advantage of this opportunity for their students and families.

MDOT Youth Development Program
James Jackson, Diversity Recruitment Strategy Coordinator

I hired IT FIGURES to provide a mentoring workshop to 100 + high school and college students for the MDOT Youth Development Program. The facilitators shared history, careers and a display of action figures, sneakers, costumes, and a special activity that helped them identify each of their special talents that could be a used to pursue STEAM achievements. This workshop was a big hit for the group.

University of Michigan Think a Bit Program
LaShawn Sims, Program Manager

We hosted IT Figures for a STEM summer camp for middle school students. I was impressed with their exhibition and professionalism. Our students were engaged and easily related to the content. The connection they make to super hero strengths and character traits is outstanding! Students are able to see themselves in the figures and think of strategies to overcome personal struggles and obstacles.
